I know what it feels like to start from scratch in a new country: exciting, but also overwhelming. I’m German-Australian, I’ve lived in Denmark and Australia, and I supported my South African partner in building a life here. I’ve seen the doubts and frustrations when skills don’t get the recognition they deserve, and I’ve felt them too.
My path has always revolved around people and cultures. I studied European identity and intercultural communication, worked in international teams as a flight attendant, and later became a recruiter helping professionals enter the German job market. Again and again, I met brilliant people who were stuck, not because they weren’t capable, but because no one explained how the German system works.
That’s why I created Smart Start Germany. Today, I guide international professionals to build their careers here with clarity, confidence, and structure. And because career success is never just about applications, I also focus on mindset and personal growth. With the right tools and perspective, you’ll not only land the right job – you’ll feel empowered, valued, and at home.
